A practice for all ages!

Empowered Tween/Teens

Yoga & Mindfulness for students 8+ years old

This 6-week class series is for young people,  who are experiencing stress. anxiety, or loss of confidence learn how to feel empowered so that they can build an authentic connection to their body and mind, harness their inner-power and authentic voice, and feel comfortable in their true self-expression. Students who graduate from this program leave inspired to live with wisdom and self-worth.

 

What can I expect? Each private 50-minute class (in person at our studio or via Zoom) accommodates up to two students (ages 8-17) and includes a grounding asana practice, breathing exercises, meditation, self-reflection through journaling and guided conversation with one of our specially trained Youth Yoga Guides. 

$88/ week for 6-weeks

Why teach children yoga? Studies show that children who participate in yoga have higher emotional regulation, empathy skills and report less stress, anxiety and overwhelm in their lives as they grow older.

What if I can't make all 6 classes? You will work with your child's teacher to coordinate the timing of all 6-classes within 2 months of your start date. Alternatively, students who are 13+ years can also opt to make-up missed classes at any of our public group classes within 3-months of the purchase date. Please note that unused classes are non-refundable. This policy allows us to pay our teaching staff for the time and expertise and thus we are unable to make any exceptions, medical or otherwise and thank you in advance for for honoring this policy.

What should my child bring to class? We provide yoga mats and props for all private sessions, however you are also welcome to bring your own. Send your child with a filled water, a journal or notebook and something to write with. They should dress is comfortable clothes.

Yoga Story Time

Asana Fun for Young Children

Yoga Story Time is a unique class infused with asana, breath-work, and lessons for children (and their adults) for life both on and off the mat. Designed for families with children 2-6 years old in mind, this active and playful class uses songs, stories and yoga movements to teach children how to self-regulate, grow with confidence and be kind to themselves and others.

This 30-minute practice is accessible for all and is offered for FREE to families in partnership with the Chester County and West Chester Libraries. Pre-recorded classes are also available in our Virtual Studio.

Adventures in Dance

Movement + Dance for 5-10 year olds

This inclusive and expressive dance class allows young people (ages 5-10 years old) to:

 

  • Explore body-affirming, expressive movement concepts

  • Learn age-appropriate creative dance techniques

  • Strengthen core muscle groups (and burn off energy!)

  • Self-regulate through breath and embodiment

  • Think critically, problem-solve and use their imaginations

  • Collaborate with others and lead with compassion

 

How long is each class session? Each class is 45-minutes. Plan to arrive a few minutes early to get your dancer settled so we can start on time.

 

Can I drop off? Yes! You can drop your kiddo off or opt to wait in our lobby during class.

 

What do we need to bring? Dancers should bring a water bottle and be prepared to dance barefoot in comfortable clothing. Masks are optional.

What is the investment? $80 per child for the entire series

What if I can't make all 4 classes? If you know in advance that you will only be able to attend less than 3 classes during this session, please let us know and we can send you a pro-rated invoice. Please note that unused classes are non-refundable.
