Classes at Zia Yoga & Wellness will suit the needs of every student from beginner to the advanced, seasoned practitioner. Each class style will offer advanced options for experienced yogis and modifications for those newer to the practice so they can safely learn the poses. The different styles offer our students the opportunity to pick a class that will fit the pace they desire. If you have a specific injury you are minding, please tell your teacher before class so that they can offer you the appropriate, safe modifications or alternative poses.


Also, if you are minding an injury, please inquire with us at about private yoga sessions to work with a specific set of poses that will help to encourage healing in the body.

All of our yoga classes are kept between 72-78 degrees.

We like to guide students on how to create their own inner fire.

Group yoga classes for adult and teen students 13+ years. Classes are 60-minutes unless otherwise noted. 

Yoga Flow - Vinyasa for Mind & Body

Literally translated from Sanskrit, Vinyasa means “connection.” Vinyasa Yoga synchronizes movement with breath which helps the practitioner develop a greater sense of self-awareness, balance, and harmony with themselves and their environment.  Vinyasa classes typically include smoothly flowing movements between poses guided by the force of inhales and exhales. Each class is unique but may include the many variations of Sun Salutations as well as standing postures, inversions, backbends, twists, forward bends, and deep relaxation. All levels, although some yoga experience is encouraged.


Yoga Light - Mindful & Soothing Vinyasa

This class provides all the physiological benefits of exercise, soothes the nervous system and mind from over-stimulation, and helps students access true peace and insight. The asana portion of the class is conducted slowly, mindfully, and is led with detailed instruction and is designed to be less physically challenging than our Yoga Flow Classes. This class will allow the student to gain strength and flexibility at their own pace with safety and alignment as the main focus. All levels are welcome. No prior yoga experience required. 

Yoga for Every Body

We believe Yoga is for everyone, regardless of shape, gender, age, color or ability. This class is led in a warm and welcoming environment focusing on safe and accessible yoga practices to meet each individual need. Designed for all levels of experience, this class is intentionally slower for grounding and centering to allow time for a mind body connection. Students are guided to move in and out of poses with ease, adapting poses to fit the body, listening intently to what the body needs, and the use of props, chairs, and walls for a safe and confident experience is encouraged. All levels are welcome. No prior yoga experience required. 


Yoga Yin

A quiet yet profound and highly therapeutic style of yoga that is available to all students at all levels. The power of Yin is in its long-held relaxed floor postures. This kind of stretch stimulates the deep, connective “Yin” tissues of the body, affecting not only the physical body, but also energetic aspects of the self. Yin yoga strengthens the flow of prana (life force) or chi, maintains the health of the meridian system of the body, and as an additional bonus contributes to the mindfulness necessary for a successful meditation practice. It is a logical balance to dynamic, muscular, “yang” forms of yoga and/ or strenuous exercise. It is excellent for students looking to advance deeper into their practice as individuals are challenged to sit in the pure presence of awareness. All levels are welcome. No prior yoga experience required. 

Relax & Restore

This class is designed for those who want and need to fill themselves back up. Life on the outside can be pretty stress-filled these days. Relax & Restore helps you remember how to find the calm in the storm, have strength from within and revitalize yourself so that you feel whole again. Come and enjoy this restful yoga practice to help bring balance and peace back into your life again. All levels, mobilities and abilities welcome. This class is very mellow, making it a good complement to more active practices and an excellent antidote to stress.

Mindful Movement

Mindful movement incorporates aspects from various yogic styles and philosophies to provide deep rest and relaxation for the mind, body and spirit. Class begins with a mix of restorative poses, long luscious holds, gentle asana, breathwork and then moves into mantra, meditation and nidra. An extremely gentle class to clear your mind and relax your body, and is appropriate for all levels offering the perfect balance to a more active practice. This class will help to heal your body, mind, and spirit. All levels welcome. No prior yoga experience required. 


This class is designed to help you relax, focus, and reset. Studies show that when you meditate with other people, you’re much more likely to stick with it. In this class, you’ll get the support and accountability you need to start meditating, and keep going. You can expect simple guidance and space to breathe. You'll leave with the perspective and calm you need to meet the challenges ahead in the rest of your week. Perfect for the beginner or experienced meditator. Class is 30-minutes. 

Candlelight Vinyasa

Rejuvenate your natural rhythm & harmony, improve strength & flexibility, dissolve tension, and experience a deep sense of well-being that will support you well after the session is over. Guided by the breath and our own powerful intention, we unite mind, body & spirit, and infuse our whole being with life-giving energy. This introspective practice strikes a balance between movement & stillness, strength & surrender, leaving you open, refreshed, and at peace. Candlelight Vinyasa is held on the first Friday of each month at 7:30pm.  All levels are welcome. No prior yoga experience required.

Men on Mats

Yoga for all who identify as male. This class has been carefully designed for men of all ages, strengths and flexibilities. All levels are welcome. Regular class rates apply.


Children & Family classes are 30-minutes unless otherwise noted. 

Yoga Mama (For Moms at all life stages: Prenatal, Postnatal & Beyond)

Expecting your first? Fourth? Just had a baby? Babies are teenagers? No matter what Mom-Stage you're in this class is designed for you. Strengthen mind, body and spirit in with a class designed to help moms deepen their experience and enjoyment of both pregnancy and motherhood. Each class is unique and may include relaxation techniques and breathing exercises to ease anxiety, flowing sun salutations, strength-building asana including abdominal and pelvic floor toning to enhance postnatal well as gentle and restorative postures to address and relieve common pregnancy and postpartum discomforts. All levels are welcome. No yoga experience required. Class is 60-minutes.

Yoga Baby (Mommy & Me)

For postpartum mothers and their new babies (6wks-new walkers).  Build strength and connection with your baby and other moms in our community through this supportive and movement-based yoga class. Poses will focus on creating a healthy body and lifestyle postpartum as well as encouraging calmness and healthy development for your baby. Enjoy flowing asanas, strength-building postures, and calming restorative time in a playful and safe environment for babies. Please bring a blanket and your baby's favorite toys. This class is really baby friendly and we encourage you to care for your baby in class (soothing your baby, changing diapers, feeding, etc.) All levels welcome. No yoga experience required. Class is 45-minutes.


Yoga Tots (Children ages 1-5 yrs with adult)

This playful and engaging class for toddlers (strong walkers to 5 years) and their mothers, fathers or primary caregivers uses simple animated yoga poses, games, stories, music and breathing exercises strengthen your child’s coordination and help to build body and mind awareness. Each yoga journey provides opportunities to bond with your child while barking in downward dog, mooing in cow pose or fluttering your wings in butterfly. Yoga helps your toddler to strengthen growing muscles, aid in digestion, promote better sleep, and help them into their next stage of development.  Older siblings are always welcome. You do not need to sign your little ones in to attend the class, but they will need a completed registration and liability form prior to participating. No yoga experience required.

Yoga & Music (Children ages 1-5 yrs with adult) 

Young children are full of energy - and so is this class! This engaging class combines playful yoga and dynamic music theory in a developmentally appropriate way – through story-telling, repetition, rhythm, physical movement, games and songs. Music naturally supports joy, expression, freedom and more. Children and their adults are able to explore body awareness, balance and flexibility through basic yoga poses as well as active instrument playing and singing. Together we learn to be expressive, playful, peaceful and free. For young children (walkers to about 7 years) and their adults. Older siblings are always welcome. No yoga experience required.

Conscious Kids Yoga (Children ages 5-12 yrs)

This kids-only yoga classes is full of energy, movement, and creativity. Designed to introduce children to the fundamentals of yoga in a fun and playful manner, our classes allow children to explore breath and body awareness, physical postures, balance and flexibility, mindfulness, confidence, teamwork and more. Together we create a space for children to be themselves, strong, mindful, compassionate and fully self-expressed. Children attending this class will need their own account and pricing option. 

Yoga Family (Children ages 2-12 yrs with adult) 

At Yoga Family we create special place for you and your family to bond, laugh and strengthen your body and mind. Yoga is a mindful and fun activity you can do with your child no matter what age! We'll play fun yoga games, work together to build group yoga poses and relax and rejuvenate through movement meditation and mindfulness, all while building confidence and self-esteem, and strong and healthy bodies. Self-expression and a playful attitude are encouraged for all. This class is designed for families with children 2-12 years old in mind, although everyone is welcome. Class is 45-minutes.

Yoga Story Time (Children 1-5 years with adult)

Yoga and fun for the whole family. As each story unfolds, we'll bring the characters to life songs, games, puppets and yoga poses. This class is designed for families with children 2-6 years old in mind, although everyone is welcome. This class is popular and space fills up quickly. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. You do not need to sign your little ones in to attend the class, but they will need a completed registration and liability form prior to participating. This class is donation based and supports the 8th Grade Yoga Project, which provides accessible yoga to 13-year olds in our community. Please pay what you can.
