MEET Program Overview
Mentors Empowering Engagement Training, or MEET, is Create Karma’s 300-hour advanced leadership program geared towards existing wellness leaders who want to bring mindfulness and creative movement techniques to a broader population through mentoring other leaders. This training is designed to enhance your ability to become a mentor to other wellness teachers and community leaders. You will experience the same amazing facilitators as our LEAP program, plus expanded opportunities to hone your mentorship skills.
Over the course of 6-months, you will move your body, explore self-inquiry and participate in team-building activities with LEAP participants. You will also learn the keys to becoming a “teacher of teachers” through mentorship work and a documented community outreach project.
Facilitated by National Wellness Leaders
Create Karma is excited to bring together some of the country’s leading wellness professionals to give participants an unparalleled training experience. Each weekend session is led by a renowned instructor or expert who specializes in a unique area of leadership development, wellness, and/or community outreach. You will see firsthand how they have become powerful leaders in their own communities and gain tips and insight for doing the same. The training’s diverse curriculum is overseen by our Program Director and Create Karma Founder Sarah Yukie Gingrich, who brings over a dozen years of experience in international yoga trainings to our program.
Empowering Communities by Empowering Leaders
Similar to our LEAP training, MEET encourages you to “Pay it Forward” by sharing the lessons you’ve learned as a wellness leader with your community and mentees. Through your coursework and role as a mentor, you will learn to create an environment of health and empowerment. You will also learn from some of the country’s leading wellness experts how to share your strengths to give others the tools they need to become healthy and successful.
Comprehensive Curriculum and Experiential Learning
MEET provides you with an optimal opportunity for personal development by integrating leadership training techniques with a variety of wellness practices. We combine physical movement, breathwork, meditation, and self-inquiry with team-building activities and action-based service projects to generate enduring wellness in your life and community. By completing this leadership-in-action training, you will transform your relationship with yourself and your ability to create wellness and empowered leadership every day.
As a MEETer, you will also participate in our Yoga Teacher Certification Weekend. In addition to facilitating the weekend for LEAP participants, you will receive feedback on your mentoring techniques and learn to creatively adapt workshop content to both your audience and environment. Finally, you will complete an outreach project that integrates your mentorship learning and wellness initiatives to create enduring wellness for the community.
