Service Description

FAQs What is integrative massage?  Integrative massage therapy is a treatment that involves the integration of therapy techniques from a number of different massage modalities including Swedish, Neuromuscular (deep tissue), Lymphatic Massage, Trigger Point work, and Shiatsu. Emily also incorporates elements from her training as a pilates, yoga and body-rolling teacher in her sessions. Where and when are sessions held?  Sessions take place in our cozy wellness nook at the studio during off-class times, so you have the entire space to yourself. Emily is available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. You can check her availability by clicking "book now." I've never met Emily, what's she like? Emily is a passionate practitioner who has studied and worked with the human body in many forms throughout her career as a movement specialist, Integrative Massage Therapist and Body Worker, and as a Pilates and Kundalini instructor. She is humble, wise, and believes that listening to our body and intuition can guide us to our own ultimate healing and vitality. How is integrative massage different from therapeutic massage therapy?  Simply put, Integrative Massage is whole-person healing. This work pays close attention to your physical, mental, emotional and energetic bodies to locate tension caused by historic and present emotional pain, stress, minor physical injuries, and psychic or energetic irritations. What can I expect? Integrative massage takes a deeper look at the psychic/emotional injuries that can create trauma in the physical body and creates space for deep healing, relaxation, and connection to your most whole self. Before your session, you'll chat with Emily about how you're feeling and what you're looking for. We encourage you to be an active participant and share feedback with Emily on pressure, sensation, and any changes you experience during your massage. What else do I need to know?  Massage services must be scheduled at least 24-hours in advance and paid for at the time of booking. Service fees are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule, please let us know at least 6-hours in advance. A full session fee will be charged for cancellations with less than 6 hours notice. This policy allows us to pay our teachers for their time and commitment, so we cannot make exceptions for any reason, medical or otherwise. Have another question or request?  Send us a note and we'll have Emily reach out to you directly.
