This class is led with a focus on slowing down and moving with intention and includes detailed instruction, a focus on safe alignment and accessibility, and plenty of space to ask questions and get direct support from our teaching team. Vinyasa Foundations is perfect for anyone who has not yet established a regular practice or who wants to hone their alignment and asana practice. This breath-inspired, gentle vinyasa-style practice is filled with the slow rhythmic movement and reflective meditation of ancient yoga practices. Develop a greater sense of self-awareness, strength, balance and flexibility and ultimately provide you with a direct experience of prana - or life energy. Each Vinyasa Foundations class is unique but may include the many variations of Namaskars (Salutations) as well as accessible variations of standing postures, inversions, heart-openers, twists, forward bends, and deep relaxation. There are no prerequisites for this or any of our classes. Here at Zia, we lead in a way that encourages you to advocate for yourself; to reach inside your soul and find your inner strength. Be mindful of physical sensations and navigate your edge with curiosity. Distinguish discomfort from feeling unsafe. Let your teacher know if something feels painful or weird. Advocate for what you need and remember, you are your best teacher.
Zia Yoga and Wellness, has a 6-hour class cancellation policy. A full session fee will be charged for cancellations with less than 6-hours advance notice. Clients with Unlimited Memberships will automatically be charged a late cancellation fee of $20 to the credit card on file in the event of a late cancellation or no-show.
