Sun Salutations + Meditation

Service Description

This class blends two of Yoga's traditional paths - asana (postures) and dhyana (meditation). Beginning with the breath-inspired, slow and dynamic movements of sun salutations (Sūrya namaskāra), you will learn to expand your awareness of the body and the energies within. After warming and grounding, class moves into Meditation and a dive into the aliveness and the underlying creativity that sustains us all. Each class will be unique and include a mix of traditional guided meditations and space for silent reflection, while you rest comfortably in a seated pose or in savasana (corpse pose). Remember, there are no prerequisites for this or any of our classes. Here at Zia, we lead in a way that encourages you to advocate for yourself; to reach inside your soul and find your inner strength. Be mindful of physical sensations and navigate your edge with curiosity. Distinguish discomfort from feeling unsafe. Let your teacher know if something feels painful or weird. Advocate for what you need and remember, you are your best teacher.

Upcoming Sessions

Cancellation Policy

Zia Yoga and Wellness, has a 6-hour class cancellation policy. A full session fee will be charged for cancellations with less than 6-hours advance notice. Clients with Unlimited Memberships will automatically be charged a late cancellation fee of $20 to the credit card on file in the event of a late cancellation or no-show.
