Perinatal Yoga

What is Perinatal Yoga? This is an inclusive class open to anyone on the perinatal journey (preconception through postpartum at any stage) who want to be part of a supportive and welcoming community where they can safely and openly discuss the joys and challenges associated with fertility, pregnancy, childbirth and parenthood. Young babies (6wks-crawlers) are welcome to attend class along with their postnatal parents.

What is class like? Strengthen mind, body and spirit with a class designed to help people deepen their experience of the perinatal journey. Each week you will learn relaxation and breathing exercises to ease stress, enjoy flowing and strength building movements for abdominal and pelvic floor toning as well as gentle and restorative postures to address and relieve common pregnancy and postpartum discomforts and to enhance postnatal recovery.

FAQs

Why start yoga now? Studies show that birthing parents who participate in Prenatal Yoga have better birth outcomes and parents with a regular yoga and mindfulness practice report less stress, anxiety and overwhelm in their lives.
