This hybrid class that weaves together the active qualities of Vinyasa asana with the receptive and restorative yin asana postures to offer both movement and restoration to the physical and subtle layers of self. Active, yet grounding Namaskars (salutations) and standing flows are offered in the first half of class to warm and enliven the body. Once warmed up, we slip into the second half of the class to explore more restorative and Yin-style poses, held longer to stretch the connective tissues helping us to relax into the deepest layers of the body. You will be sure to leave feeling calm, peaceful and balanced after this healing practice! This is a 75-minute practice. Remember, there are no prerequisites for this or any of our classes. Here at Zia, we lead in a way that encourages you to advocate for yourself; to reach inside your soul, and find your inner strength. Be mindful of physical sensations and navigate your edge with curiosity. Distinguish discomfort from feeling unsafe. Let your teacher know if something feels painful or weird. Advocate for what you need and remember, you are your best teacher.
Zia Yoga and Wellness, has a 6-hour class cancellation policy. A full session fee will be charged for cancellations with less than 6-hours advance notice. Clients with Unlimited Memberships will automatically be charged a late cancellation fee of $20 to the credit card on file in the event of a late cancellation or no-show.
