Perinatal Therapeutic Care
Personalized support for birth preparation, postpartum recovery, and growing families.
From preparing for the birth ahead to finding your rhythm in the early weeks of parenthood, our private therapeutic offerings create space for individualized guidance, embodied practice, and thoughtful care.
Care That Meets You Where You Are
Pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum bring profound changes to your body, your relationships, and your everyday life. Each experience unfolds differently, with its own questions, challenges, and moments of discovery.
Sometimes, a little more time and individualized attention make all the difference.
Zia's Perinatal Therapeutic Care offerings draw from therapeutic yoga, perinatal education, nervous system awareness, and years of experience supporting growing families. Each session is shaped around your needs, preferences, and circumstances, with care for the whole person and the relationships that surround them.
Whether you're new to Zia or have been practicing with us throughout your pregnancy, you're welcome here.
Birth Preparation: Partner Integration Session
Private In-Studio Session | 60 Minutes | $188
Practice Together. Prepare with intention.
Every birth brings its own possibilities, and every family arrives with different questions, preferences, and ways of supporting one another.
This private session creates space to explore the practical and embodied aspects of childbirth preparation, with personalized guidance for you and your chosen birth support person.
Whether you're preparing together for the first time or building on techniques you've learned in a childbirth class, we'll focus on the practices that feel most relevant to your body, your anticipated birth experience, and your support relationship.
Through movement, breath, touch, and conversation, we'll explore ways to work together through labor and approach birth with greater familiarity and confidence.
Together, we can explore:
Movement + Labor Positions
Explore positions and movement strategies that support comfort, mobility, and choice during labor.
Breath + Nervous System Support
Develop grounding practices and breathing strategies you can return to during moments of intensity.
Partner Roles + Connection
Practice responding to one another's needs and navigating the changing dynamics of labor.
Supportive Touch + Counterpressure
Practice hands-on techniques that your partner or support person can offer throughout labor.
Communication + Advocacy
Explore cues, preferences, and ways to communicate needs with your partner and birth team.
Your Individual Questions
Revisit techniques, explore particular scenarios, or spend additional time on anything you'd like to understand more deeply.

Who are these sessions for?
This session welcomes expecting families at different points in their preparation.
New to childbirth preparation?
We'll focus on your priorities and introduce practical techniques you can begin exploring together. Families seeking a comprehensive childbirth preparation experience may also benefit from our Partner Yoga for Childbirth + Beyond immersion.
Already attended our immersion or another childbirth class?
Use this time to personalize what you've learned, refine your techniques, and revisit questions as birth approaches.
You are welcome to bring your spouse, partner, friend, family member, doula, or another chosen birth support person. Sessions are especially useful during the third trimester, though we can adapt our work to your circumstances and stage of pregnancy.
Postpartum Nurture + Recovery Session
Private In-Home Session | 120 Minutes | $333
Care that meets you where you are.
The early weeks after birth hold so much.
Your body is recovering. You're learning your baby's rhythms. Sleep, relationships, and familiar routines are shifting. There may be moments of wonder and connection, alongside exhaustion, uncertainty, and the work of adjusting to an entirely new season of life.
During this two-hour visit, we bring personalized therapeutic support into the comfort of your home, creating space for rest, reflection, movement, and nourishment.
Each visit begins with listening.
We'll consider how you're feeling, what your recovery has been like, how your family is adjusting, and what kind of support would feel most meaningful that day.
What your visit might include:
Birth Reflection
Space to share your birth experience, explore questions, and reflect on the transition into parenthood.
Rest + Nervous System Support
Grounding techniques and opportunities to settle into moments of rest amid the changing rhythms of newborn life.
Nourishment + Care
Warm tea, simple nourishment, and an unhurried space for attention and care.
Gentle Movement + Breath
Individualized, postpartum-appropriate movement, breathing, and restorative practices adapted to your recovery.
Partner + Family Connection
Thoughtful check-ins and practical conversations about shared caregiving, communication, and support.
Continued Resources
Guidance toward other perinatal professionals, community resources, and supportive services when additional care may be useful.

Shaped Around Your Family
Some visits may include gentle movement and conversation. Others might focus on rest, processing the day's challenges, or finding small, practical ways to feel more supported at home.
Your baby is welcome to remain close, and partners or other support people can participate as appropriate.
We'll follow your pace, creating room for feeding, changing, resting, and everything else that comes with life alongside a newborn.
When Should I Schedule?
Visits are typically offered within the first 2–4 weeks after birth, with flexibility around your delivery, recovery, and family circumstances.
We encourage families to inquire during pregnancy so we can begin planning for postpartum support. You're also welcome to reach out after your baby arrives.
Rooted in Practice. Guided by Relationship.
Since 2018, Zia has cultivated a community of skilled yoga teachers, doulas, birth workers, and growing families, united by a commitment to thoughtful, inclusive perinatal support.
Our approach weaves together the wisdom of yoga with contemporary understanding of movement, the nervous system, and the perinatal experience.
We welcome families across a wide range of identities, relationships, bodies, and birth experiences. Every session is rooted in consent, choice, and respect for your individual circumstances.
We believe meaningful care grows through relationship, shared knowledge, and the communities that surround us.
