Asana

Directly translated from Sanskrit, asana means a steady and comfortable seat. Although it is commonly used to refer to the yoga poses, it has nothing to do with your ability to perform a handstand or an aesthetically impressive backbend. In fact, asana is a posture you can hold comfortably and motionlessness, not one pulled by aches and pains of the body, or restlessness due to discomfort. As you move through poses at home (or at the studio), we invite you to reflect, how can I move into a space where I am truly comfortable and steady?
