Gather together and create a handmade blanket to be gifted to an immigrant family! Sunday, August 2nd, 2026 from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM Create hand-knit or crocheted squares as a gift for a newly immigrated family via the Welcome Blanket Project (https://www.welcomeblanket.org) platform for engagement that transforms the abstract concept of immigration into a tangible crowd-sourced artistic action. We ask you to use your head, heart, hands, and history to craft the country we wish to see. Event Details: - Squares can be in any pattern, color, or design as long as the finished square measures 10” x 10" - Find free or paid patterns at https://www.ravelry.com if needed. - Bring your completed squares to the event, or come as you are to help assemble the blanket and send it off infused with positive energy. What is Zia Sangha? Zia Sangha is our open community circle. A space to gather, reflect, and share in creative expression and meaningful conversation around common themes and lived practice. These gatherings are accessible, welcoming, and rooted in connection rather than instruction. Often centered around a shared meal or simple ritual, Sangha is where we return to one another and remember that practice is not meant to be done alone.
